    How do I know my PC or Mac can run Office?

    The current version of Office supports PCs running Windows 7 or later and Macs running Mac OS X 10.10 or later for Office 2016 for Mac. For more information, including requirements for Apple® and Android™ tablets, view full system requirements.

    Will Office be identical on a PC, a Mac, and a mobile device?

    No. Office applications are tailored to work best on each platform and device. The Office applications available for Mac users and the version numbers may be different from those available for PC users.

    Am I going to be able to access my existing Office 365 portal?

    Yes, your company will have the same level of access as prior to migrating to Dimension4.  The only difference is that Dimension4 will be your provider for all billing and complimentary premier customer support.

    Can people with an earlier version of Office open documents I created using Office 365 or Office 2016?

    Office 2007, Office for Mac 2008, Office 2010, Office for Mac 2011, Office 365, Office 2013, and Office 2016 applications can open your documents without any additional action. Customers using earlier versions of Office may need to download and install a compatibility pack.

    Is Internet access required for Office?

    Internet access is required to install and activate all the latest releases of Office suites and all Office 365 subscription plans. For Office 365 plans, Internet access is also needed to manage your subscription account, for example to install Office on other PCs or to change billing options. Internet access is also required to access documents stored on OneDrive, unless you install the OneDrive desktop app. You should also connect to the Internet regularly to keep your version of Office up to date and benefit from automatic upgrades. If you do not connect to the Internet at least every 39 days, your applications will go into reduced functionality mode, which means that you can view or print your documents, but cannot edit the documents or create new ones. To reactivate your Office applications, simply reconnect to the Internet.

    You do not need to be connected to the Internet to use the Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, because the applications are fully installed on your computer.

    Will I be able to open tickets directly from Microsoft Office 365 support?

    What Office 365 products are available as part of the CSP Program?

    All Microsoft Office 365 plans are available, including E3, E5, CRM Online, and Azure.

    Can I add, remove, or change Office 365 seats?

    Yes, you can make changes to your Office 365 plans at any time, whether it’s add, remove, or change any Office 365 seats.  Simply email helpdesk@myd4.com or call our support number at 844-944-MYD4.

    Can I start a trial or convert a trial from Microsoft directly to CSP?

    Yes, you can start a trial through Microsoft directly and then transition to Dimension4 CSP using the transition path.  We can assist you with the transition path.

    Can Advisor 365 or Open 365 customers renew or transition to the CSP program?

    Yes! Transition paths are now available for existing customers.

    Can CSP be mixed with other program types?

    IE, Advisor 365, or Open 365? YES! CSP can be mixed with other program types.

    Does your solution offer billing as a service?

    Not at the moment.

    What is VoIP (Cloud PBX)?

    Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that enables voice transmissions to travel over the Internet, rather than over traditional phone lines. Speech is converted to packets of voice data which are sent.  It is a great way to make and receive phone calls using your broadband connection instead of your standard phone line.

    Why should I choose VoIP phone service?

    VoIP a great way to reduce your telecommunications bill, it can also provide your company with a range of features that can enhance your customer’s experience and boost productivity. VoIP also makes a great fit for growing businesses, as adding new lines, features and extensions is as easy as clicking a button.

    What is E-911 services?

    It is a common misconception that VoIP-based business phone systems are not able to support emergency services. E-911 is an enhanced 911 service provided by Dimension4 and required for all customers. When you call 911, all of your information is given to the nearest Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). Dimension4 is fully compliant with all 911 emergency service regulations, meaning you can rest assured that you’re able to contact emergency assistance should you need to.

    Can I use my current phone and existing phone numbers with Dimension4’s Cloud PBX solution?

    In most cases, yes.  Your Dimension4 Cloud PBX Specialist will need to confirm if you current phones are compatible.  As for phone numbers, you may keep your existing phone numbers by porting them over from your current carrier or service provider to Dimension4.

    Can I have a professional recorded business phone greeting and hold music?

    Yes.  You can record any greeting, special promotional or holiday messages and upload it to your system as a .was or MP3 file at any time.  You can upload hold music as .wav files.

    How do I check my voicemail messages?

    With the Vonage Business cloud-hosted phone system, you have several options for how you can check your voicemail and messages:

    • Directly from your IP phone.
    • By calling in remotely and entering your passcode.
    • By email though voicemail-to-email.
    • Through visual voicemail in the online interface.

    Can my admin see my login information?

    Your helpdesk administrator can see your username, but he or she does not have access to your password.

    Is my password secure?

    Yes, rigorous security measures and controls to protect your information. These controls are audited and attested to in our SOC2 report, and all passwords are 256-­‐bit AES encrypted.

    Can I synchronize more than one Active Directory with Okta?

    Yes, you can synchronize more Active Directories to your EIM/SSO organization, we also recommend to do it for HA.

    What happens if Okta goes down?

    Our EIM/SSO must be available for any other app to be accessed and therefore there’s no good time to be down. As a result, we are built for high availability – no planned downtime, no maintenance windows – and we guarantee 99.9% uptime.

    Why do I need to set up a secondary email?

    Secondary emails are useful in case you forget your EIM/SSO password.

    If your helpdesk administrator allows you to receive ‘Forgotten Password’ help, then you can request a password help link to be sent to your email address. However, if you’re accessing your company’s email through SSO, you won’t be able to access the email that was sent unless you have provided Dimension4 with a secondary email address. In that case, Dimension4 will also send the forgotten password email to your secondary email address — making it easy to access and reset your password.

    Which browsers does Okta work on?

    Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

    Do I have to use a plugin?

    No, you only have to use the Dimension4 EIM/SSO plugin if your administrator has allowed apps to use Secure Web Authentication (SWA). If your company is using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) apps, you will not need any plugin.

    Why does my Okta session expire but some of the apps are still open?

    SSO does not log you out of your applications even though you might be logged out of your SSO session.
